The Emergency First Aid At Work training course will prepare you to respond in emergency situations by providing first aid treatment if someone is injured or becomes ill in an emergency at work.
Suitable for people aged 16+, the course covers a range of lifesaving first aid skills and techniques. Successful candidates will become formally qualified emergency first aiders, receiving the nationally recognised Emergency First Aid a Work Certificate which is valid for three years.
This 1-day course is aimed at anyone who wishes to become an emergency first-aider in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements where organisations have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.
The Highfield Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Training Course is designed for those who wish to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace.
This one-day qualification meets the requirements of both the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
The main topics of the course include; knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider and how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED, providing first aid to a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and hypovolaemic shock.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course runs over 1 days and is divided into 6 units:
Unit 1: Taking Charge & Summoning Help.
Unit 2: Priorities in First Aid.
Unit 3: Control of Bleeding.
Unit 4: Epilepsy.
Unit 5: Poisoning.
Unit 6: Burns and Scalds.
The Highfield Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and a multiple-choice theory test.

Completing & passing the Highfield Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF), will see you qualify as an emergency first aider. You will receive the nationally recognised Emergency First Aid a Work Certificate which is valid for three years.
